This method makes it possible to design, from a concrete composition, a mortar – called equivalent mortar (MBE) – whose rheological properties (subsidence and spreading in the mini-cone) are correlated with those of concrete.
To make this mortar, SNL makes so-called reference sands.

The weight of the bags can vary from 1 kg to 3 kg depending on the specific request. The grain size distribution is guaranteed to +/- 2 gr and the total weight defined by the customer is guaranteed to +/- 2 gr.
