REFERENCE SANDS FOLLOWING THE EQUIVALENT CONCRETE MORTAR (MBE) METHOD PROPERTIES OF MBE SANDS
This method makes it possible to design, from a concrete composition, a mortar – called equivalent mortar (MBE) – whose rheological properties (subsidence and spreading in the mini-cone) are correlated with those of concrete.
To make this mortar, SNL makes so-called reference sands.
