CY301B brightness tester is mainly measures the whiteness of various objects such as paper and cardboards, pulp and chemical fiber pulp, cotton and chemical fiber, textile, plastic, ceramic, enamel, starch, salt, white cement, porcelain clay and French chalk. It can also measure the optical performance such as the opacity of thin-sheet materials. The instrument is in compliance with GB3978-83 Standard Illuminants and Illuminating-viewing Conditions. It simulates a D65 illuminant to illuminate. The instrument employs d/o illuminating-viewing geometrical conditions, with a diameter of the globe of diffusion of 150mm and a diameter of the test hole of 30mm; with a light absorber, it eliminates the effect of specular reflection light of the sample. The peak wavelength of spectral power distribution of R457 whiteness optical system is 457nm and its half-width is 44nm. The Y10 optical system is in compliance with GB3979-83 Object Color Measurement Method. The instrument can measure and digitally display the whiteness, fluorescent (whitening) whiteness, opacity (%), etc.
