Description:

The indications of Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Moxifloxacin Hcl BP EP USP are for adults with upper and lower respiratory tract infections (18 years old at least), such as acute sinusitis, acute episodes of chronic bronchitis, community acquired pneumonia, and skin and soft tissue infections.

Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Moxifloxacin Hcl BP EP USP is a broad-spectrum and antimicrobial agent of 8-methoxyfluoroquinolones.

This substance shows broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, acid-fast bacteria and atypical microorganisms such as Mycoplasma, Chlamydia and Legionella.

However, when taking Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Moxifloxacin Hcl BP EP USP, we should pay attention to the use of quinolones which can induce epilepsy. For patients with known or suspected central nervous system diseases that may lead to epilepsy or reduce the seizure threshold, we should pay attention to the use of quinolones.

Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Moxifloxacin Hcl BP EP USP is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Its mechanism of action and in vitro antimicrobial spectrum are similar to those of other fluoroquinolones, but its antimicrobial activity to Gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria is similar to that of trovafloxacin, which is superior to some old varieties. Compared with other fluoroquinolones, the drug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria produced little or very slowly. Cross-resistant bacteria were found among Gram-negative bacteria and enterococci and other fluoroquinolones.
