Buffer Solution pH 10.01 Hanna 500 ml, Model: HI-7010L

Description

Buffer Solution pH 10.01 Hanna 500 ml Bottle, Model: HI-7010L

The pH 10.01 buffer in a 500ml bottle is the most popular buffer used before analyzing basic samples. Ideal for those requiring an accurate alkaline reading, particularly suitable for those working in water purification plants, the food industry, aquatics, and Hydroponics, and in any environment where the pH is expected to be alkaline. Hanna Microprocessor pH meters can be calibrated at pH9.18 and pH10.01.

Buffer solutions should be stored at 25 C, away from direct sunlight for accurate readings.

To correctly maintain your meter/electrode, we highly recommend the use of a Hanna cleaning solution, as well as a buffer, for maximum performance every time. pH4, along with pH7, can also be used as an emergency storage solution.

Hanna buffer solutions are prepared, ready-to-use, according to precise formulas and standardized in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to ensure quality and accuracy. All solutions show a batch number, an expiry date, and the correlation table between pH and temperature. A certificate of analysis is available on request. All bottled solutions are sealed with an airtight, tamper-proof seal to prevent any Carbon Dioxide from entering and causing a change in the pH buffer value.

Sulphate LR / HR barium chloride method reagent kit

$5,500.00

Sulphate LR / HR, barium chloride method, Reagent kit for 200 tests (SO42-

During testing, when colour change is achieved, under careful conditions – usually using a burette – the reagent is added, drop by drop, until the solution turns to the colour required. The user will then count how many drops of reagent were used to achieve complete colour change. The number of drops used will determine the chemical concentration and results can be found in the manual included.

Sulphate, barium chloride method, Reagent kit

$5,800.00

The HI-38000-10 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate sulphate measurements with the chemical test kit. These reagents follow the barium chloride turbidimetric method to determine sulphate concentration.

For determination of sulphate, the barium chloride reagent is added to an acidified sample. The reaction between sulphate ions and the reagent creates a barium sulphate suspension. The supplied glass test tube is then filled slowly with the reacted sample. When the black indicating spot on the bottom of the test tube is no longer visible, the level of liquid in the test tube indicates the concentration of sulphate in mg/L (ppm). These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected sulphate range of 20 to 30 mg/L and 30 to 100 mg/L.

Replacement reagents for Ammonia (fresh water) chemical test kit

$4,000.00

The HI-38049-100 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate ammonia measurements with the HI-38049 chemical test kit. These reagents follow the Nessler method to determine fresh water ammonia concentration as ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N).

For determination of ammonia, the Nessler reagent is added to the sample under alkaline conditions to react with ammonia. The reaction between ammonia and the mercury-containing reagent causes a yellow coloured complex to form; the greater the concentration, the deeper the colour. A checker disc is included for an accurate, side-by-side, visual analysis to determine ammonia concentration. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected ammonia range of 0.0 to 3.0 mg/L (ppm) NH3-N.

Iron test kit

$2,500.00

Description

Hanna test kits measure the strength or weakness of a chemical presence according to the degree of colour saturation. Ie – if it is pale in colour, then the chemical concentration is low. If the colour is strong, then the chemical concentration is high. Simply add the reagent to the compound to be tested and match the colour gained against a colour chart included in the kit.

Iron Test Kit

The HI-3834 Iron test kit determines the iron concentration in water by conversion of the ferrous (Fe2+) state. The test is fast, easy and safe. The colour cube makes it simple to obtain the iron level in the water.

Iron can exist as ferrous (Fe2+) or ferric (Fe3+) ions. The HI-3834 test kit determines total iron levels in water via a Colorimetric method. First, all ferric ions are reduced by sodium sulphite to ferrous ions. Phenanthroline complexes with ferrous ion to form an orange coloured solution, the colour intensity of the solution determines the iron concentration.

Nitrite test kit

$4,600.00

Description

Nitrites are intermediate oxidation state of nitrogen (in the oxidation of ammonia to nitrate or in the reduction of nitrate). Such oxidation/reduction may occur in the wastewater of treatment plants and in natural waters during the biological decomposition of nitrogen-compounds. In small quantities, it can cause methemoglobinemia among infants. Conversely, high levels are used to inhibit corrosion in cooling towers. Nitrosation reactions of nitrites can yield organic nitrosamines, which are known to be carcinogenic.

Note: mg/L is equivalent to ppm (parts per million).

Chemical Reaction

Nitrites react with the chronotropic acid reagent to form a pink tint in the sample. The amount of color developed is proportional to the concentration of nitrite present in the aqueous sample.
