Climate-friendly and powerful: the ICHeco climate chamber for the stability testing of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or food works with environmentally-friendly CO2 (R744) as refrigerant. Memmert is thus initiating the climate-friendly future of compressor-cooled temperature control appliances. Furthermore, the ICHeco scores with its unique uniformity of temperature and humidity. Via an air jacket around the hermetically sealed work area, heat is quickly and extensively introduced into the climate chamber over four sides. Icing over of the cooling appliance and sample drying are successfully avoided.
In the ICHeco L climate chamber, stability tests in accordance with ICH guidelines Q1B, option 2, can be performed, thanks to an illumination unit. Fluorescent lights with cold white light (daylight: light colour 865, 6,500 K) and UV radiation in the spectral range of 320 – 400 nm. Daylight and UV light comply with standard illuminant D65.
The climate chamber ICH C offers ideal conditions, especially to test building materials and concrete. Thanks to the electronic CO2 control with automatic neutral position (NDIR measuring system) and an adjustment range of 0 -10 %, you can use it to carry out long-term tests to determine the depth of carbonation in concrete without bulky, costly and power-guzzling test chambers.
The climate chamber ICHeco is extremely powerful and environmentally-friendly. Compared to appliances with refrigerant R134a, it scores with faster change speeds during cooling. The Memmert climate chambers ICH / ICH L / ICH C with refrigerant R134a will be available in parallel.
Not all climate chambers are the same. The humidity content of the chamber load, the ambient conditions and the respective temperature-humidity working range are decisive factors in the selection of the right appliance. This climate chamber offers the full range of comfort, reliability and safety. Thanks to active humidity control from 20 % to 95 % rh and unsurpassed homogeneity of temperature and humidity over the entire interior, it is ideally suited for environmental testing, environmental simulation, accelerated service life tests and 85/85 tests according to IEC 60068-2-67 and IEC 60068-2-78.
Humid environment without condensation
The active humidity control ensures an ideal homogeneity of temperature and humidity as well as short recovery times after opening the door in this attractively priced and practically maintenance-free climate chamber. In combination with heating on all six sides, including heated inner glass door, it also minimises vaporisation in the interior and thus the risk of condensed water dripping onto the test object. An aluminium thermal conductive layer supports optimum temperature distribution and serves as a heat accumulator in case of a temporary power failure.
Comfortable equipment for accelerated service life tests
To ensure that environmental tests and accelerated life tests such as 85/85 tests run reliably and safely, the humidity chamber HCP offers a wide range of comfort functions: Standard feed-through on the rear panel, battery-buffered ControlCOCKPIT (option), process runtime starts with SetpointWAIT function only when the setpoint temperature is reached, alarm messages can be sent via e-mail or SMS with MobileALERT (option) and much more.

Not all climate chambers are the same. The humidity content of the chamber load, the ambient conditions and the respective temperature-humidity working range are decisive factors in the selection of the right appliance. In the adjacent diagram, you can see the possible temperature/humidity combinations for our humidity chambers HCP.
Within the respective temperature-humidity range, permanent operation is possible (at an ambient temperature of 22 °C ± 3 K, relative humidity < 50 %). Condensation may occur in the threshold range. To which extent depends on the humidity content of the chamber load and the ambient conditions.
It goes without saying that every climate chamber has a climate defined by temperature and humidity. However, Memmert climate chambers provide extra reliability during stability testing, climate testing or conditioning and are perfectly designed for the simulation of environmental conditions. The IPS cooled storage incubator exactly meets the requirements of the food or cosmetics industry, medicine, pharmaceutics for storing samples at constant temperatures: absolute reliability, precision and durability, and particularly environmentally friendly at the same time. Our sterilizer S complies with all relevant standards and regulations for medical products and guarantees reliable programme sequences, irrespective of the load and chamber volume. Especially due to the SetpointWAIT function the validation of a Memmert hot air steriliser is possible anytime. Combined with the user-ID function the optional process-controlled, electromagnetic door lock of appliances with model variant TwinDISPLAY is the icing on the cake in terms of safety in the laboratory.
Disinfection of appliances and instruments is not sufficient in medicine and research. Only sterilisation provides sufficient protection. In the Memmert hot-air steriliser, the SetpointWAIT function ensures that the programme is only continued when the setpoint temperature has been reached. Precisely maintaining the sterilisation time and thus completely killing off even highly resistant microorganisms is therefore guaranteed at all times, irrespective of the sterilisation load and chamber volume. This feature can also be used with additional, freely positionable Pt100 temperature sensors.
