CHARACTERISTICS
Graded sand is composed of local natural siliceous sands (silica content 99%) with a water content of less than 0.1%. The constituent grains of these sands are uncrushed, rounded in shape. This sand is used to test cements according to ASTM C 109.
The sand is packaged in 25 kg bags.
Deliveries are made individually and on pallets of 2 to 40 bags, protected by reinforced cardboard.
CONTROLS
The granularity of graded sand is fixed by standard ASTM C 778 and determined according to standard EN 933-1. The average production control is:

The sand is natural, siliceous. It is clean, the grains are generally isometric and rounded in shape. It is dried, screened and prepared in a modern workshop offering all guarantees of quality and regularity.
The sand is packaged in polyethylene bags each containing 1000. ± 10 g.
Deliveries are made in boxes of 20 bags weighing 20.5 kg, and in pallets of 36 to 45 boxes with a gross mass of 753 to 935 kg, protected by a polyethylene cover (road transport) or reinforced cardboard (sea transport) .

APPLICATION AREAS
This sand is used to carry out the so-called HSv test: “measurement of the true sand depth”, which consists in characterizing the roughness of a road surface. It provides an average thickness of the hollow asperities of the road layer. It varies from 0.3mm for smooth roads to over 2mm for very rough roads.

Method for determining the abrasion value of aggregates ( AAV )
This method makes it possible to determine the abrasion value of road aggregates.
The sands produced by the SNL are the sands used to produce the test specimens.
The fine sand less than 0.300 mm is intended for setting the aggregates at the bottom of the mold.
Abrasive sand is fine siliceous sand containing at least 96% silica. All the sand must pass through a 0.85 mm sieve and be retained on the 0.300 mm sieve. In addition, 75% of the fine sand must pass through the 0.600 mm test sieve and be retained on that of 0.425 mmm (it is kept dry in paper bags with a polypropylene fold): it will then be mixed with the resin.

Application areas
Measurement of the average depth of the surface macrotexture of a road pavement using a volumetric on-the-job technique.
The method can be used on a wide range of surfaces. However, care should be taken in interpreting the results when the measured depth is outside the interval (0.25 – 5 mm).

The flower of sulfur is guaranteed with a sulfur rate greater than 99.5% (minimum 99.7%).

Presentation
AREAS OF APPLICATION
This sulfur, known as “FLEUR DE SULFRE”, is intended for surfacing cylindrical cement concrete specimens, whose compressive strengths are less than 60 MPA. The compression test can be carried out after half an hour of hardening.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Avoid sulfur vapor fumes which can ignite, and capture them with a powerful extractor hood.
